Jacob Ganaway, also known as SONKIOVA, is a multi-media artist and musician currently based out of the Treme district in New Orleans, Louisiana. Influenced by Hermeticism and Mythology, he mixes soundscapes and traditional hip-hop drum beats to create a modern take on sonic story-weaving. With a deep love for combining polar opposites, he overlaps harshly dissonant sounds with soothing melodies in an attempt not to bring order to chaos, but to show that there is balance within the grey.

Jacob is also co-founder of the NOLA/Detroit based group of artists and musicians, Wabi and The Sabis, where he is a creative consultant and sound designer for various live shows; including an upcoming production of 'Metamorphoses' by Mary Zimmerman, directed by his partner Elijah Stone."
