Steven Goldfarb

Dr. Goldfarb is a physicist from the University of Melbourne working on the ATLAS Experiment on the Large Hadron Collider. He received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Michigan in 1991 and has been an active researcher at CERN, ever since. Steve is active in Education and Outreach, having served ATLAS as Outreach Coordinator, and currently serving as co-chair of the International Particle Physics Outreach Group. He was recently elected as a fellow of the American Physical Society for his contributions to science communication, including the development of a Virtual Visit program that hosts classrooms from around the globe. In his spare time, Steve fronts the Canettes Blues Band, authors of the world renown ATLAS Boogie.
