Suzi Analogue
Suzi Analogue is an incredibly versatile producer, vocalist, and designer whose futuristic, forward-thinking music blends abstract hip-hop, neo-soul, and electronic experimentation. True to her name, she releases much of her music on formats such as cassette and vinyl, and she runs a tape label called Never Normal Records . Born Maya Shipman in Baltimore, MD, she dubbed herself Suzi Analogue in tribute to RZA's moniker Bobby Digital; and came to surface as a part of the Klipmode collective - a group of hip-hop experimental producers that included MNDSGN, Knxwledge and Devonwho in Philadelphia. She has released projects with innovative artists including Georgia Anne Muldrow, TOKiMONSTA, Onra, DJ Earl (Teklife), and has taught international production workshops worldwide including the Netherlands and Uganda. Her newest instrumental series ZONEZ (Never Normal) explores music scored to her real life.
