Join Moogfest performing artists Noveller, Nick Zinner, and Greg Fox for a hands-on 360 video workshop. Leading the video production and spatial sound recording will be Sensorium Works, a New York-based creative studio.
360-degree video and spatial sound recording create new production considerations, especially when documenting live music performances. This workshop will introduce participants to some of the challenges—and opportunities—inherent in VR and 360 video.
Participants will start with a brief survey of VR music experiences, and get to demo some recent music-based projects.
Camera and sound recording gear will be explained, and then setup alongside music gear. The workshop concludes with a live recording of a improvised music performance by the participating artists.
