Moogfest 2017

Daphne Oram (1925–2003) was one of the first British composers to produce electronic sound. She was the creator of the Oramics technique, co-founder of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, and a central figure in the evolution of electronic music. Inspired by the Minimoog, Oram designed Mini-Oramics as an attempt to bring her original early 60's Oramics machine to a greater audience, but it was never built.
In this special workshop, led by Goldsmiths University of London, participants are introduced to the newly completed Mini-Oramics system. This new realisation is the only working Oramics system in the world, and can be integrated into contemporary modular synth setups through the use of standard CV/Gate.
