Moogfest 2017

In this introductory workshop, you will learn the basics of training neural networks to generate musical sequences with the open-source Magenta library (http://github.com/tensorflow/magenta). You will also set up a MIDI-based environment for interacting with Magenta neural networks to improvise with them in real time. Time permitting, we will discuss how you might improve upon these neural networks on your own. No background in machine learning or programming is required, although a basic understanding of using a Unix-like terminal is recommended.

Open spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis to those in line.
