Why settle for stereo panning or surround sound, when you can perform in 3D spatial audio? This workshop will demonstrate ways to control spatial audio in a high-density loudspeaker array. And Virginia Tech Composition and Creative Technologies faculty will discuss performing pieces for looping processed electric violin and computer, developed for the 138.5 speaker spatial audio system in the Cube of the Moss Arts Center.

This session will take place in a site-specific hexaphonic audio environment designed and installed by engineers from Virginia Tech ICAT.

** If you successfully register for this workshop, it will be confirmed in your personalized schedule. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. Those not in attendance 5 minutes before the session begins will forfeit their spot to those in line.
** If you were unable to successfully register for this workshop but were added to the waitlist and want to attend, it may still be possible if a space becomes available on the day of the session. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session and wait in the standby line. Open spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis to those in line.
** By registering for a workshop, you acknowledge that Moogfest may share your email address with the instructor for the purpose of planning and coordinating this event.
