How long does it take to build utopia? Together as a group, we will find out. In this workshop, we will try to build a simulated utopia that all participants are happy with. We will introduce concepts in systems thinking, computer simulations, and participatory design. Participants will learn how to represent real world interconnections and dynamics with numbers and algorithms. Design the world, and see how it evolves according to the group’s decisions. This simulation of consensus and community building requires no prior coding experience.

** If you successfully register for this workshop, it will be confirmed in your personalized schedule. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. Those not in attendance 5 minutes before the session begins will forfeit their spot to those in line.
** If you were unable to successfully register for this workshop but were added to the waitlist and want to attend, it may still be possible if a space becomes available on the day of the session. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session and wait in the standby line. Open spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis to those in line.
** By registering for a workshop, you acknowledge that Moogfest may share your email address with the instructor for the purpose of planning and coordinating this event.
