Mobile Beatmaking and Multitracking FULL

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Many of us carry recording studios with us all the time: in our pockets and bags, backpacks and bookbags. This workshop invites participants to make music together using one of these mobile making stations. We’ll use ubiquitous recording tools, our voices, field recordings, ultra-portable instruments, MOOG Werkstatts, and more, to produce audio and beats, and learn how to use these tools to keep our creativity flowing, even when we’re on the go.

** If you successfully register for this workshop, it will be confirmed in your personalized schedule. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session. Those not in attendance 5 minutes before the session begins will forfeit their spot to those in line.
** If you were unable to successfully register for this workshop but were added to the waitlist and want to attend, it may still be possible if a space becomes available on the day of the session. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session and wait in the standby line. Open spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis to those in line.
** By registering for a workshop, you acknowledge that Moogfest may share your email address with the instructor for the purpose of planning and coordinating this event.

The resurgence of a technological Maker Culture is undeniable, and Moogfest is a gathering for all those enthused by new tools for creative expression. Conversations, workshops, and installations will not only explore hardware and physical computing, but also reflect on how the last decade has been transformed by a host of arts-engineering software toolkits like Processing, Arduino, and openFrameworks.
