Strong is Fighting: Discovering Your Secret Superpower

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This workshop will allow participants to develop their own unique superhero identity using strengths, weaknesses, and qualities they observe about themselves in their everyday life. Participants will learn about the different types of superheros, where super powers can come from, and will get a chance to articulate the origins of their own super powers. They will then create a story through drawing, writing, or collage to tackle an issue the group identifies, such as a natural disaster, poverty, or bullying. The workshop will allow participants to develop a side of them that can take action in ways that fit their personality and identity, while practicing how to work together to confront issues that affect out world.

** This workshop is free and open to the public as part of Moogfest’s The Joyful Noise of STEAM program, and is appropriate for middle school and older students. A festival ticket is not required to attend.
** This workshop is limited in capacity and offered on a first come first served basis. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session.
** Entrance is not guaranteed.
