Musical Pencil Synth Make-and-Take

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This workshop will reveal the electric DNA of the modular synth genome. Learn to breadboard a square wave oscillator from a single integrated circuit and then play your instrument by waving your hand over an electronic eye, or by drawing the sound with a musical pencil. Each attendee will walk out the door with a new synth in a brown paper bag. No prior electronics experience required.

** This workshop is free and open to the public as part of Moogfest’s The Joyful Noise of STEAM program, and is appropriate for middle school and older students. A festival ticket is not required to attend.
** This workshop is limited in capacity and offered on a first come first served basis. Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the session.
** Entrance is not guaranteed.
