Join Brooklyn based artist collective Found Sound Nation, and a team of musicians and producers from Brazil, Russia, South Africa and the United States for a 45-minute workshop inside The Ouroborium, an immersive installation and unique multi-person instrument.
This installation and workshop series is a protest to the way in which many of us are increasingly creating and producing music - in isolation and in front of screens. It is a protest against the self-obsessed, computer-driven, and solipsistic trends of future music making. The Ouroborium is instead, a highly social, radically collaborative experience for a group of people and a critical new way of organizing and composing sound. In the context of our screen-obsessed, self-ridden age, The Ouroborium experience asks participants to grapple with a very modern dilemma: when you let go of your perceived individuality how can you continue to function inside a group, an organization or even society?
During Moogfest, Found Sound Nation will be collaboratively creating a series of sound pieces and sonic collages with artists, activists, innovators and festival attendees.

** This open session is free and open to the public as part of Moogfest’s The Joyful Noise of STEAM program. A festival ticket is not required to attend.
