In 2012 we set out to build the first watch factory in Detroit and to create jobs by doing so. Today we achieved that goal and have since opened a leather factory, employing over 200 individuals in manufacturing through that effort. To further our mission, we embarked on a journey into the audio category, starting with a turntable. As we introduce each new category we gain further traction in reaching our goal of creating more jobs.

Shinola Audio is the result of over a year of close partnership between Shinola and some of the best American minds in audio. The Shinola Audio team, under the leadership of Alex Rosson, designed and engineered every detail with legendary American turntable maker VPI.
